A Round of Applause for April's "Composter of the Month": Jason Schmidt of Anderson County!5/1/2020 Congratulations are in order for Jason for being April's "Composter of the Month!" After submitting his totals regularly and contributing to "Come, Post Your Compost," Jason is the winner of a well-deserved $100 prize! Pictured next to the "freshest" of his five piles, you can see Jason holding his tool of choice, a 10-tine bedding fork. He even goes the extra mile in helping reduce the amount of food waste in Tennessee's landfills by collecting the scraps from the neighbors on his street. Jason hopes that one day he can learn how to raise composting chickens so his compost can turn into soil and eggs to share. Keep up the good work, Jason! Happy composting!
