We would like to express our deepest gratitude, appreciation, and awe to the thousands of volunteers who participated in Tennessee Tree Day 2020 on 3/21/20!
Practicing all precautions and guidelines offered by the CDC, our staff delivered 42,000 seedlings to 99 volunteer pick-up locations from Memphis to Mountain City!
The map above represents every location where a tree was planted as a result of our event. If you planted trees or helped get those trees into the hands of people to plant, THANK YOU!
Please post all your tree planting pictures/videos in our Facebook group, Tennessee Tree Day Pictures, so the world can see the good that unfolded. Or, post to your own social media page using the hashtag #TennesseeTreeDay2020.
A special thanks to Penske for donating the delivery vans, Kimbro Oil Company for the gas cards, and to ALL our sponsors, listed below, that made this event possible!

Tennessee Tree Day 2020 Sponsors
Since 2007, the Tennessee Tree Project has mobilized over 60,000 Tennessee residents in planting 637,100 native trees in Tennessee and beyond. Each year Tennessee Tree Day engages thousands of volunteers in a fun, meaningful, family friendly, educational experience with multi-generational benefits to our environment, communities and public health. On Tree Day 2020 we hope to engage 20,000 volunteers in planting thousands of native trees in all 95 Tennessee counties as well as neighboring counties encompassing all watersheds of major rivers that flow through Tennessee. The purpose of this activity is to instill public awareness of the value of trees, improve the health of our environment and communities through the multitude of benefits trees offer, and to nurture a culture of sustainability in our region.
