Ways To Give

Below are additional unique opportunities to support TEC through doing some of the things you might do every day – shopping at Kroger, connecting on Facebook, celebrating your birthday or the holidays, or collecting your paycheck.

SHOPPING:

Kroger Community Rewards
Do you shop at Kroger? If so, you can support TEC at no cost to you  every time you shop! All you have to do is register your Kroger card to give to TEC. This does not take away any discounts or points from you personally and it will help our fundraising efforts tremendously!

1. Sign in to (or create) your Kroger.com account. Once you sign in, you can see your dashboard.
2. On the left side of your dashboard, under My Account, click on Community Rewards.
3. Search for MS104 (our org. number) and select Tennessee Environmental Council. Once you select us, you should see our name and enrolled under donation status.
4. That’s it!  Thanks for YOUR support!!

Glass Recycling Pick-up In Nashville
If you're in the Nashville area, you can support glass recycling, employing people experiencing barriers to employment, and TEC all at the same time. Wow, what a win-win-win!

We are partnering with Just Glass in creating local jobs and making an environmental impact. As you probably know, glass does not belong in your Metro Nashville curbside recycling bin. For $18.50/month, Just Glass will come to your home twice per month to pick up your glass for recycling. If you sign up through this link and select us as your nonprofit partner, (use the coupon code TEC.GLASS for your first month free)$3 of that fee will be donated to TEC every month.

We encourage you to learn more about Just Glass by watching the  Earth Week Webinar we hosted on 4/20/21. We hear from their Executive Director, Ellen Peterson at minute 50.

So recycle your glass, empower others to break out from the cycle of poverty and support TEC at the same time! Signing up with Just Glass is not just good for the environment, it's good for the community!

MAKE YOUR BIRTHDAY (& THE HOLIDAYS) HAPPY AND GREEN WITH CAUSES APP ON FACEBOOK:
Is your birthday or are the holidays coming up? This year instead of gifts, which have a 50% chance of ending up in the landfill, ask your friends to donate to the Council through a Facebook Causes Birthday or Holiday Wish.  If just 10 of your friends donate $10 each, you can raise $100, which would help us to plant trees, restore streams and do other important work in honor of your birthday! Click here to get started.  Be sure to choose Tennessee Environmental Council to raise money for us!
