Davidson County Litter Cleanups

We are organizing 25 litter cleanup events in Davidson County between September 2022 and December 31, 2023. This effort is funded by the Metro Water Services’ Davidson County Riparian Cleanup Grant.
The goals for this project are: 

• 50 tires pulled from waterways and recycled
• 15,000 pounds & 75 cubic yards of debris removed and recycled
• 50 culverts cleared

Why is this Important?

• TN spends $19 million of taxpayer money picking up litter.
  
• It is our responsibility to protect our waterways. They are home to countless species of fish, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, and birds. 
  
• We are rewarded with cleaner drinking water, better recreational opportunities, healthier fish,  a better environment and economy.

How can you help?
