Trip Pollard is a senior attorney with the Southern Environmental Law Center, a non-profit environmental organization that works in Tennessee and five other southern states. He is the director of SELC's Land and Community Project, which uses legal and policy advocacy to promote transportation and land use decisions that protect the environment and enhance the quality of life of this region.
Mr. Pollard has written or co-authored numerous articles and reports. His publications include Where Are We Growing? Land Use and Transportation in Middle Tennessee, Policy Prescriptions for Healthier Communities, and Smart Growth and Sustainable Transportation. He has lectured widely, taught courses on transportation and historic preservation issues, served on numerous state and local governmental commissions and advisory bodies, and is a member or former member of the board or advisory committee of many organizations. He received his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Virginia.
