Attire is "festive/party" in other words NOT formal wear/tuxes/evening gowns. This is Nashville so you can bet that you´ll see folks with jeans, a sportcoat and cowboy boots on. This year we have a "Green Carpet Welcome" at the door - it´s a great opportunity to wear your favorite organic cotton, hemp, or other environmentally favorite outfit OR show off that great resale or consignment shop purchase! Remember green is an attitude, not just a color!

ABOUT OUR THEME
The Greenest Journey Begins With One Step. Walking a sustainable path can be a challenge, it may be impossible to eliminate waste and pollution, but every step taken makes a difference and we are glad you have joined us on this journey. We are pleased to host Green Tie Affair at a new venue, Marathon Music Works, which is taking small but important steps in their "marathon effort" to be green. This year we are presenting the 2012 Sustainable Tennessee Award to Dodd Galbreath, who is helping students, businesses and other leaders to take a major step forward in bringing the latest principles and practices of sustainability out into the world.
