This is the 19th year for the Green Tie Affair, which has become one of the longest running traditions for the environmental community, and attracts many of the great environmental leaders in our state.  Green Tie Affair is one of our most important fundraising events, helping us to fulfill our mission of educating and advocating for the conservation and improvement of Tennessees environment, communities and public health, with projects such as our Duck River Opportunities Project, the Tennessee Tree Project, and Sustainable Tennessee.

TENNESSEE TREE PROJECT AWARD PRESENTATION TO WARNER BASS

The Council will be honoring Warner Bass at Green Tie Affair for his contributions to preserving and protecting the tree canopy in Tennessee.  Mr. Bass, Capital Campaign Chairman for Friends of Warner Parks, led the fundraising effort to help purchase a 324 acre site owned by HG Hill Realty and another 124 acre site adjacent to Warner Parks for Metro parks.  This parcel of land, is home to an old growth forest of trees that are more than 200 years old, and will add about 448 acres to Warner Parks.
