Energy and Responsibility: 

A Conference on Energy and Environment will be held at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, April 10-12, 2008.  This conference invites ethicists, legal theorists, energy policy makers, energy enterprises and environmental activists to engage in dialogue about ethics and energy.  Deadline for abstracts is October 1, 2007.  Selected papers will be published in an anthology by a major academic press.  Keynote speakers will include: 

            Rajendra Pachauri, Chair, Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change

            Dale Jamieson, New York University

            Henry Shue, Merton College, Oxford

            Dale Bryk, Senior Attorney, National Resources Defense Council

            Richard Morgenstern, Senior Fellow, Resources for the Future.
