The Green Power Switch premium pricing program allows customers in selected distributor areas to purchase $4 blocks of Earth-friendly power (solar, wind and landfill methane gas) each month. Each block contains 150 kilowatt hours of power.

If your distributor is not participating in Green Power Switch, call to say you would like a green power option. The environmental voice has been included as this program has been brought onto the grid.

TEC, as well as Southern Alliance for Clean Energy (SACE) have representatives sitting on the TVA Green Power Switch Steering Committee.

These eleven solar arrays, mounted on canopy shade structures in the VIP parking lot for Finley Stadium in Chattanooga, were dedicated August 28, 2001. These panels can produce about 127,000 kilowatt hours of electricity a year (about 9 homes). They generate up to 77.2 kilowatts of alternating current. This is the largest thin-film solar operation in the Southeast. The panels are part of the power supply for TVA's Green Power Switch.
