Upcoming Special Events

Beginning in June- If you would like to help us make phone calls as follow up of our Annual Fund Campaign which will start in early June, please let me know. A short training session will be scheduled. Calls can be made from the TEC office or from home. This is a vital part of our development campaign and we will need as many people as possible to help make calls.

Saturday, June 28 - Come down to Spring Hill & enjoy the sun and good company while making our streams healthier! Join us in Wyngate Estates for revetment work on the Grassy Branch.

Saturday, July 19 - Come down to Spring Hill & enjoy the sun and good company while making our streams healthier! Join us in Wyngate Estates for revetment work on the Grassy Branch.

Saturday, August 23 - Lend a hand with revetment work on the Grassy Branch in Wyngate Estates or on McCutcheon Creek in Jerry Erwin Park.

Saturday, September 20 - Join us for revetment work on the Grassy Branch in Wyngate Estates.

Saturday, October 18 - Don't miss our first tree planting of the fall! We will be planting trees at Saturn Parkway & Kedron Road in Spring Hill.

Saturday, November 8 - Planting number 2 at Saturn Parkway & Kedron Road. It may be chilly outside but you'll feel all warm and fuzzy knowing you're directly improving air quality and the beauty of our Tennessee.

Saturday, December 6 - Come back to Spring Hill & enjoy the morning planting trees in a park-like setting along McCutcheon Creek. We will be planting trees at Saturn Parkway & Kedron Road in Spring Hill.

 

Ongoing Volunteer Opportunities

  • Media Watch - monitor and report on specific journals, newspapers, or television news shows, respond to media via letters to editor 
  • Legislative Watch - attend and report on General Assembly and Committee hearings, monitor committee calendars, attend and report on Metro Council meetings 
  • Regulatory Watch - attend and report on state or federal government meetings open to the public, monitor permit applications
  • Office Assistance - gather newsletter articles, organize files, help with large mailings
  • Newsletter - identify items for inclusion, write articles, assist with production
  • History - organize chronological scrapbook, research historical accomplishments, maintain TEC success story narrative
  • Research - explore specific issues, foundations and other funding sources, special projects
  • Fundraising - join a team organizing special events, grant research or writing
